I visited Haven in January of 2021 and it was an absolute dream. My only regret is that I didn’t stay longer! This resort is a high end, luxury, sexy and romantic escape that is brand new, opening just two years ago. It’s been extremely well designed with no detail (large or small) missed. The vibe is relaxing and elegant with incredible food and cocktails!

I stayed in building 1 which had an ocean view and a partial swim out and I adored my room. It was very cozy and I enjoyed waking up in the morning, opening my blinds and watching the ocean before I ordered my breakfast and enjoyed coffee on my little patio. The breakfast buffet was also great but I liked having the room service and quiet time to myself in the morning, it was the best way to start the day!

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the swim out was also heated so I could use it any time of day which was wonderful. I ended up meeting my neighbors and they were awesome, we had the server (Marilu) bringing us drinks right to our swim outs! I was impressed with the high level of service and care for the guests at the resort- you could tell they were all trained very well and extremely hard workers. Service can really make or break a trip and it definitely added to the ease and enjoyment of mine. I also ordered room service one night after the evening show and a few cocktails and it was fast, fresh and delicious.

This resort offers a variety of different rooms and services from engagement and wedding packages to romantic suites with a peek a boo door for the shower which you can open to view from the bedroom area (hello honeymooners)! They also have this red and green light system so when you want privacy you turn the red light on and your food and/or drinks will be dropped in your “secret box” which you then take it out of when you are ready. If you are ok with the staff bringing in your items, you can turn the green light on. I really liked this option instead of having to remember to find the little tag to hang on the outside of the door. I think we all forget to change those!

My room came with an large and beautiful rain shower, a little walk in closet, a large safe and a cute little sitting area with a couch. I had absolutely everything I needed and my king size bed was soooooo comfy, I had the best sleeps. I was lucky enough to tour other rooms to see everything they offer, I know rooms are a big selling feature for a lot of people so I wanted to share some photos for you guys with different views and options. My personal favorite was the swim out, however, depending on what you are looking for, there are so many different options. Even the garden view swim outs were incredible.

Beyond the rooms, the resort has so many other wonderful things that add to the one of a kind experience. There’s a full gym, an UNBELIEVABLE spa, a stunning wedding and bridal studio, a mixology bar, a bar where they do the evening shows, a great resort store (with very pretty swim wear and take home gifts) and daily activities. While I was there I actually saw a proposal and a wedding and both were absolutely perfect. While touring the wedding and bridal areas I could really see one of my friends or myself getting married there! You can tell they put so much thought and effort into making these areas extra special. It’s very elegant which makes for the perfect space to get ready in.

I split my time between the beach and the pool- I really do enjoy both. The ocean was pretty warm and the beach was very well maintained. I believe the pools were all slightly heated as well so they were very easy to get into!

Every morning I could see the staff cleaning up the beach and making it look perfect for us. All the staff were extremely safe and clean, they all wore masks 24/7, even the beach workers! I felt like they were being very carful and going above and beyond to make sure the resort was clean and sanitized. Even my room had a “sanitized” sticker on it when I first walked in!

Now let’s talk about the food and drinks- to be honest this is my favorite part! When I was younger I didn’t care as much about these things but I’ve come to appreciate both more and more the older I get. I think the biggest complaint I hear about all-inclusive resorts is the food and when I write reviews I think it’s exactly what people are looking to see and hear about.

The food at Haven was EXCELLENT! Probably one of the best I’ve ever experienced at an all-inclusive resort. Everything was so fresh, there were a lot of different options and I loved that it was all labeled so people with dietary restrictions could navigate it easily. Room service is 24/7, there’s a snack bar during in the day, a breakfast and lunch buffet and 3 restaurants open every night. While I was there I got to experience Olios (Mediterranean) and Satsu (Asian Fusion). There’s also a Mexican restaurant that I didn’t get to go to but I heard it was also incredible which didn’t surprise me. In the main lobby area by the front desk there is also a coffee bar where you can get (free) custom made coffee as well as little snacks and treats. It has lots of sweets and desserts and around 12:30 daily they add in a bunch of sandwiches.

This resort would be really great for a romantic getaway, your honeymoon, a group of friends who like the finer things in life, and of course, a WEDDING! I saw so many couples but also a few groups of friends and of course the wedding party that was all staying there.
